About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I worked in a variety of health care settings as a mental health therapist and compassionate leader. As a woman of color, I create spaces for all clients to share their experience without judgment and with a shared understanding.
My educational background includes a Master Degree of Social Welfare (MSW) from University of California, Berkeley as well as a BA in Sociology and Education from University of California, Berkeley. In my downtime, I enjoy cooking, cheering on my kids, being outdoors with family and friends, and traveling.
Understanding the importance of values informed both the way I practice therapy and live my life. Values keep us rooted in what truly matters to us, and we can use this clarity to make important decisions about our relationships, careers and life transitions. Through a foundation of committed values, I support clients as they shift their perspective to a more gentle and flexible mindset, discover meaning and purpose, and learn to manage discomfort differently. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, grounded in evidence-based practice, with an emphasis on culturally-responsive care. Clients describe me as warm, trustworthy, witty and a relatable therapist.
